CZ27 with interesting markings...

I obtained a CZ27 a few months back that had "fnh" and all the other nazi markings... and also British proofs.

I originally thought the British proofs meant is was imported commercially, but now I'm looking for a proper explanation.... any clues?

There are also no American importer marks.

All those proofs mean is that at some time the gun was brought into the UK or offered for sale there. Quite possibly it was a war souvenir that was turned in during one of the amnesty periods in the 1950s, when American importers bought thousands of surrendered guns from the British government.

(In the most recent handgun ban, handguns could be deactivated and retained, but those turned in or confiscated were destroyed, presumably to keep them out of the hands of us evil colonists.)
