CZ-USA Great Customer Service

I have two CZ75 PCR's. After shooting over 15000 round through one of them the screw that holds the trigger spring popped out and took all the threads with it. I contacted CZ and they asked me to send it in so I did. Well about 3 weeks went by and yesterday a package arrived from CZ. I opened it and found a brand new CZ75 PCR. The newest model with the rails for a flashlight. It was too cool. I never expected them to give me a new gun.

Ironically I had decided to sell a couple of my 9mm guns so I went to my local gun shop and put it on consignment. Better to sell a brand new gun that has never had a shot fired through it.

CZ has got be one of the most unappreciated guns in North America. I love mine and can't believe how well they stand behind their product.

I've always said that people would appreciate CZ's more if they charged more. Side benifit of really increasing profit per unit too.

Man I wish people would stop saying things like that online (though I'm probably guilty too :o ). I'm sure CZUSA reps check the major gun boards. We don't want to be giving them any ideas (I'm sure they're thinking the same thing anyway- must be since prices do seem to be climbing a bit). I'm more than happy to have some people look down on my gun because it cost less than theirs if it allows me to buy a top notch gun (one that is often better than the gun snobs' guns) and buy almost as many models as I want. Defending the gun's reputation from time to time is a price I'm willing to pay for such a quality gun at such a low price.

Chaim, although I agree with your sentiment that we don't need to push our luck and wish for higher prices, I don't think a bunch of posts here and there is going to raise the price of CZs. Economics 101 says supply and demand dictates pricing much more than opinion.

As nice as they are, CZ don't sell that well when compared with their competition. CZ will set the price at whatever the market will bear assuming they can sell enough to make a profit and sell them *for* enough to make a profit. (Why they don't sell is a whole other thread, but let me just mention that I had to drive over 150 miles to buy my last one).

Speaking of service, I just called their 1-800 number yesterday (how many companys have toll free service lines anymore) for a replacement trigger pin that keeps walking on me. I was very suprised that after three rings, it was answered a person who could actually help me instead getting transfered around like you do with too many other companies. The gentleman was very pleasent and offered to drop one right in the mail (I didn't want to send it back just for that). It took less that three minutes on a toll free call to resolve my problem.

I've already got three CZs, but yea, I'll buy another.

DMK,

I understand supply and demand, I took several economics courses and some business courses in college. I was joking a bit there. Also, I think that if the situation warranted their raising prices our telling them to here wouldn't much effect the situation as they would probably come up with the idea themselves.

Lethal,

I actually have my eye out for a PCR but if you have a new P01 to sell I may be interested (I will have to double check the finances first though). What are you asking?

Does anyone have any stats on how many new many models of each brand are sold annually? I don't know which of the major gun companies are public and release sales figures. That would be very interesting.
