CZ Scorpion EVO - No SBR

From the threads I have read, There is a lot of interest in turning the CZ Scorpion into an SBR. I would agree that it is the perfect platform for that given a perfect world, but I personally do not wish to deal with the ATF requirements for this privilege. Trying to resell it, I think would be tough and asking the ATF for permission to take it out of state is another deal breaker for me. SO................

Using a sling instead of a stock on the scorpion what are people successfully using for a sling, red dot etc? What do you like, recommend. I would imagine that what works for an AR or AK pistol would also be relevant. Thoughts

A few companies make adapters like this one for use with an arm brace like the SIG SB15 and the like. I know a few people who have their Scorpions set up like that. For most of them, it's just a stop-gap while they wait to SBR it, but it's not a bad setup by itself.

While the paperwork really isnt a big deal, some dont want to jump through the hoops, or wind up on some list. Hey, to each their own.

Personally, if I wanted that in a SBR configuration, Id do it.

As far as the sling, I used to use the factory HK sling with my MP5 with the stock collapsed. I simply looped the sling around my neck (a la MP40 in left hand carry), and thrust it forward against the sling, using it as a quasi stock. It works well, and is very doable.

Find a sling you like, and work on the adjustment to suit.

I pick up my Scorpion tomorrow. I haven't decided if I want to SBR it or not (travel across state lines enough to make it an annoyance). I ordered the KAK shockwave and tube for mine.
