I am keeping the polls down to a 2 or less per day so people don't get overwhelmed. Anyway, moving on to CZ pistols. This poll will be on for 3 days...I want to see the final tally and not leave it open indefinitely. Here it goes: those of you that own or shot CZ pistols, rate them.....

I have the CZ97B, and I absolutely love it. The accuracy is awesome, the trigger pull is good, and that big frame aborbs recoil superbly. It is the pistol that I take to IPSC competitions. Anyway, based on my experience with my CZ 97B (plus renting several 75B models), I would give them the highest rating.

Sub Par only because the grips are too fat!!! I have small hands, and my friend's CZ75 compact just would not fit!!! He wanted to sell it to me for a good price, but I was forced to decline!!! Oddly enough, it was this experience that put me on the path that lead to Walther!!!:p

To give it a sub par because the grips are to fat is unjust. I think the poll is in regards to the pistol overall quality. I think they are an excellent pistol, most accurate pistol I have shot so far. There are other pistols out there that are quuality pieces that I don't like, Sig is one, but I would never say that Sigs are sub par.

I love my CZ75. The only problem I have is finding things like holsters and stuff. But I wouldn't exchange it for ANY GUN, except a more tricked-out version of the the same gun. Nothing has fired more accurately in such a small package. Others who've fired it like it to, even its large grip, it fits in the hand so well and makes the hand to the pointing.

I also like their website. Lots of cool pictures! Heh...

CZ 75B Compact too fat???

My five foot two 118 pound wife has the smallest hands I have ever seen.....her engagement ring is a size 41/2 has the CZ75B Compact and it fits her like a glove.........If anything I find them too thin......Talk about different perceptions.

I have been carrying a cz85 on duty for several years and have been very happy with the weapon. Also own a cz83 in 380cal and it is also an excellent performer.

I can't imagine a "bad" CZ. I've purchased 5 CZ pistols this year and each one is very accurate: quality work all the way.

The CZs are great guns. I get a kick out of out shooting my buddy`s Glocks,Sigs,H&Ks and Springfields with my $345 CZ-75B Mil.(not always mind you but more often than not) :D As for the grip being too fat, you`d have to have awfully small hands for that to be the case. My CZ with Hogue checkered cocobolo grips is actually slightly *thinner* than a Springfield 1911 with factory checkered stocks! In fact it`s 1/8" thinner through the grip than my Buckmark single stack .22 with factory wood grips! Marcus

Does a CZ52 count. Call me a little off, but, I am planning on sending my CZ52 away for a while. When it comes back it will have been made into a very reliable carry gun, including removing some metal to make it feel a little better.

So, am I crazy or what?

I don't think so, I will probably shoot factory fodder, my handloads chrono around 1800fps, have maxed at 1900fps. Of course, with the availability of JHP for handloads, I may just download the power a few 100 fps and roll my own.

Will post pics when it comes home, that way you can all see how nice a vintage CZ can be.

My Military contract 75B is addictivly easy to shoot. It is accurate.
It fits my hand very well once I replaced those crappy plastic grips with factory rubber panels. They are well worth the time and trouble to get. The only complaint I have is the dang thing keeps running dry. It sure doesn't take long to run out a box of ammo when you can put nearly all of it into 3 -15 rounders.

:D

I notice the two POS voters failed to expound on their reasoning. I for one put one in the excellent category. I'm just pissed I waited so long to buy one.

^I think the only reason they voted "POS" is because they are trying to bring the results down a bit. They might be mad that a brand that they liked (like S&W) got tons of POS votes. ;)
