CZ P-01 Omega Convertable

Anybody carry one of these cocked & locked? Looks like a nice way to carry 15 9mm rounds on your hip...might be a few ops heavier and has the unnecessary rail, but looks like a good way not to carry a Glock!

What do you think?

Beautiful gun. Nice specs. I like the alloy frame as opposed to polymer. CZ products seem to be top notch. The low rail can be useful for a mini laser. There are red dots that weigh less than an ounce.

Personally, I can't imagine switching out between safety and decocker, but maybe some folks have a reason. BUT I come from the state of NJ where carrying is out of the question. Maybe if I carried, then the safety, decocker may make more sense.

I do agree, it is a very good way to avoid Glock, Walther or H&K for that type weapon. The specs showed it as 14 round?

Owning only 1 CZ, I have limited knowledge, but I will say that I find the build quality to be very good. The finish is very utilitarian, but it is functional and keeps the price low.

My only real "complaints" with CZ is that replacement parts and Mags are very expensive compared to some US made pistols.

Overall, the P-01 Omega Convertible looks to be a great choice, and if you are asking the questions, you are interested enough to give it a whirl!!

Good luck with whatever you choose

I would imagine 14+1. So you are correct, but I did want to point out that they list the mag as 14

Still terrific specs on the gun.
