CZ Kadet drill/tap?

Let me rephrase that. Would the guys at Gander Mountain know what they're doing and not screw something up considering it's a little unusual?

Hard to say.
GM is like the big box home centers when it comes to "skilled help".
Some have it/some don't - even depending on the time of day you shop there.

I asked the smith at my local GM how much it would cost to have the broken screw on the barrel band of my Winchester Trapper repaired, and he said they didn't do that type of work.:confused:

I walked away with the impression that GM's *smithy* services are a lot like those fast oil change places - ok for the most part when it comes to filling the washer fluid,,,,but,,,

Maybe I'll try and find a different gunsmith. I really don't want my CZ buggered up. Then again, I live in the boonies and finding a decent smith will be a real challenge.

A machinist could do it for you. One pass with the milling maching and he levels off part of the receiver. He finds the center, drills two holes, then uses two bottoming drills (makes it flush on the bottom), tapes both holes and attaches the mounting unit for your red dot sight. Now, can you find a professional machinist?

drill and tap

Oh! Yea!:
Find some old veteran - one of those old "blue eyed" navy machinists - they'll do it proud!
Harry B.
God bless those guys - and all veterans!
