CZ Kadet ammo recommendations?

I ordered a Cz85b with Kadet conversion yesterday and I'm wondering about ammo recommendations. Any brand of .22 that the Kadet has a preference for? I've checked out the czforum, any other tips on the Kadet, or the 85b? Thanks.

Mine seems to digest everything about the same. I ran a couple hundred Federal HPs from a value pack through it yesterday with only two or three FTEs.

Mine likes Remington's "Golden Bullets" from Wall-Mart. $9 for the brick. It works perfectly with any high velocity rounds. With some standard velocity rounds I have a couple of stovepipes. Ark

I've run both of those, plus some CCI through mine and never had any significant problems.

The funny thing about Kadet kits is every one seems to have it's own personality. Some say theirs works better with high velocity 22, and some work better with subsonic. It's probably because they are fitted by the user to the existing pistol frame.

Best thing is to buy at least a 100 rds each of different brands and try yours for yourself.

I intentionally fit mine tight, hoping for better accuracy, but luckily it likes the cheap stuff! :)

So far mine hasn't shown a preferance for any particular ammunition.

Federal - 550 count Waly world bulk pak
Remington Thunderbolt
Federal American Eagle
CCI Mini Mag
CCI Stingers

All of the above have worked pretty much the same.

Tips from my experience:
- Take your time fitting the unit. I mean REALLY take your time. It pays off big time.
- Clean the firing pin channel. Mine must have had some packing grease in it, and I didn't clean it out before using the unit. A few hundred rounds later, I had all sort of FTF. Taking it apart at the range was a PITA without having my reading glasses to let me see what I was doing.

If you're the meticulous type that takes your time with things. and makes a habit of cleaning and inspecting a gun before use, then you shouldn't have any problems. Generally, I inspect a gun before the first use, but don't clean it unless there's an obvious safety and/or function issue.
