CZ Factory Tour video link,,,

And, I finally know how to pronounce Ceska Zbrojovka.

Gesundheit.

Thank you for the link.

CZ has had a soft spot in my heart ever since (probably 7 or 8 years ago) I found they had put a set trigger on a regular hunting rifle. 'Folks in the know' had told me many times that legal shenanigans made this impractical.

I've also been told by people I respect that CZ rifles are very, very accurate.

Also didn't Colonel Cooper himself extol the virtues of a CZ handgun? (I might be mis-remebering this.)

You're not mis-remembering - in Col. Coopers book he said that if the military absolutely HAD to go to a 9mm "crunchenticker", then the best choice was the CZ-75. Unfortunately, CZ-UB was on the wrong side of the Iron Curtain in the 1908s when we replaced the 1911, so that would have been just slightly impractical...but it is nice that the CZ was the good Colonels "czoice", and not just for the fact that it can be carried cocked and locked.

I didn't know that CZs were investment casted.
Only some CZ handguns are investment cast like Rugers. Others are forged alloy. I believe all of their sporting rifle receivers are made from forgings.
