CZ 97B Pistol .45 ACP

A friend of mine in ID has one...after reading a comparison of alot of 45's, which it was the most accurate out of the box, beating even high level 1911's etc. He bought one...it groups around 1"
at 25 yds...shot from a rest with his hands..not a full bench rest.
From what I hear on the forum this is pretty much common with these guns....I have done everything but shot them...they are BIG! I mean BIG. The weight is 2 1/2 lbs....empty!!!.....anyway its supposed to be one of the most accurate guns available regardless of make, model, caliber or price. I just with they would make it in a Compact version..
Shoot well

A stock 1911 is 39 oz or 40 oz, so a CZ-97 is the same weight.

It is thicker, so concealed carry use is more difficult.

A design that is scaled up from the CZ-75. The EAA Witness and Magnum Research Baby Eagle are the size of a CZ-75.

The guns are very accurate and very big. They can be carried cocked and locked or in da/sa mode.
They have a 10 round mag, the grip is a little big and the trigger reach is a little long, depends on your hand size if you like it.

The size however plays a factor in recoil control, gun feels like shooting a 9mm, has a decent trigger and decent sites and decent controls.
It is a well built very accurate .45 for under $500.

Weight is right on with a fullsize 1911 but it is much wider and taller and the grip is longer so concealing it is tough.

Would make a good IDPA gun, you could use it in SSP and CDP.

CZ-97

I have one, and second all of 45shooter's points. If you have big habnds you'll love it, if not you need something else.:)

It is a big gun, very accurate considering its cost and quite reliable. The only complaint is that it does not like long loaded ammo. Keep your reloads under 1.272 and 100% reliable, let them sneak up to 1.275 (max length) and it will not feed very well.

I do not regret mine a bit.

Oh yeah, the polishing job on it is amazing. So nice that I will only shoot mine on the range. To nice to carry.
