CZ 97 grips

Love this gun but the grip is a tad large for my mitt.
It currently has the wood grips on it and I'm wondering if the thin aluminum grips from CZ custom shop @ $85.00 make that much of a difference.
What about the VZ style are they available?

I would think that the aluminum CZ grips would be thinner, but the problem is that the radius of the CZ 97 is different from the 75. As far as I know, neither CZ or VZ makes additional grips that fit the 97.

But the CZ Customshop apparently does! Cool! I had no idea: http://czcustom.com/97b.aspx

You'd have to call them to know if they are thinner than the wood ones. Very cool, though.

Aluminum grips should be thinner, as are VZ grips, which are comparably thin. But, VZ only makes grips for 75s and compact variants.

I got VZs for my 75 Compact to have something less slippery than Czech plastic. They are much grippier (I got Frags, the least grippy), but are also noticeably thinner, which resulted in a more comfortable grip.

With a little stretching the Hogue grip for the 75 will fit. I have small hands and its much better than the wood.

Contact Cajun gun works. He will be able to steer you in the right direction. He sells the CZ custom shop grips. The thin grips do help but he also has a reach reduction package for the 97s which will really change the feel of the pistol. It is a bit pricey but consider it.
