Cz-75b?

I have about decided to stay with a revolver for concealed carry because that is what I'm more comfortable with. But I would like to have a 9mm as well to carry while in the woods and have in my truck.

My son wants my P95, so I will let him have it.

Now, I have been doing some research on the CZ-75B and would like all the info that I can get.

Price-

Warranty-

Customer Service-

Durability-

Hi-cap mags?

Size/trigger reach compared to P-95-

Function-DA, hammer drop, safety, etc.

After reading so many favorable posts on this board, I have decided that I have to check this gun out.

Thanks for any and all information that you can offer.

I love mine, most people love theirs. Any conversation re: the CZ75x is covered ad nauseum in the archives. Mostly it's a no brainer - pick one up - you won't be sorry...

Hey Tim,

Price- Used to be that prices were found under $300. I'd say anything under $350 is good now.

Warranty- 5 years.

Customer Service- I've contacted CZ probably five times and each time they have been very helpful. Mailed stuff I've ordered quickly, no fuss.

Durability- As durable as any other steel gun (very).

Hi-cap mags?- Still available from the factory (last I checked). Priced at about $45. Pro-mag standard capacity have worked great in mine. They have been 100% so far.

Size/trigger reach compared to P-95- It's been a long time since I've picked up a P95 so I'm going off my memory. I'd say they are comparable in reach. The CZ75B can be carried cocked and locked, so the trigger reach is not as long if carried in that fashion.

Function-DA, hammer drop, safety, etc.- CZ75B are DA/SA, but a CZ75SA is available as well as a decock model. They also have a firing pin safety and a hammer drop safety.

CZ USA

CZs are great guns. The ones I have fired and the one I own have been 100% reliable. . . no exceptions. They have all been accurate. I plan on buying more.

Negatives? The factory sights aren't my favorites, although they are useable. I don't care for the thumb rest grips that many of them come with. I much prefer the plain checkered grips w/out the thumbrest.

Just to clarify a little, the standard CZ75b has an external safety. It can be carried cocked and locked or hammer down. But it does not have a decocker. That doesn't bother me, since I'd carry it cocked and locked if I carried it. But if you carry it hammer down, you'll have to manually lower the hammer (carefully, please).

This is beautiful, man!

How else we can help you?

Get it.

I paid more and got the Compact. I highly recommend it if you're looking for that kind of thing.

Get it.

I just went to the CZ-USA web site and looked at the CZ-75BD Police.

This gun has the decocker and was listed with 0ne 10 rd. mag. and one 15 rd. mag.

It had a suggested retail price of $439.00.

This would be the one that I would want.

Is the decocker ambidextrous? Can it be converted if not?

Someone said that it had a 5 year warranty. What about some type of repair policy after that?

I think the warranty is three years.

On my 1993 85C, the right side Slide Release broke off. It turns out they redesigned the part and made the sleeve (the part that broke) thicker. When I called they knew exactly what was wrong and asked me to send it back to them so they could update the frame and fit the new style release. Cost - free.

If this is for range use, you'll be able to get the standard 75B at a good price and you can see if the safety is on. If you want a carry piece, the PCR Compact is more popular and has a decocking lever. Prices are going up fast as the older "Mil" pistols are all sold out.

I really enjoy my CZ-75B SA...and my CZ-50, CZ-83 & CZ-52.
I hope you get a chance to shoot one, I think you will like it.
Good luck!

I've got an Witness (CZ clone) and its great! The bad thing about it though is that it makes me want a CZ 75 Compact even more now!!
