CZ 75B aftermarket grips?

Hogue makes 'em (rubber, not sure about wood) and, you can get checkered wood and a couple types of plastic grips from CZ-USA.......

Yeah, I looked at a set of CZ wooden grips that CZ Connection had in stock. They looked like they were made from used toothpick wood. I passed on those but I would like to have a set of nice wooden grips and a set of rubber grips as well. I am going to check out Joe Klug's Pachmayrs and I will take a look at the Hogues also.

If anyone knows of a place to get "nice" wood panels for the CZ 75, please share a link.

Well you can't buy em but....

Houge makes some very very nice wood for the CZ (full size 75) I've seen the grips and they are nice.

Well I just received my Hogue Coco bolo checkered wood grips for my CZ75 this week and installed them. I am less than impressed. The wood is of less quality than the Spegel grips of the same type for my BHP. I also had to use a dremel to mod them to get a fit.

R6,

Just let me know when you want to take a look at these grips. Also, my Wife's PCR and my Compact wear the rubber grips available from CZ USA. The ones for the full size CZ75 are the same thing only a bit larger for the larger pistol.

The only aftermarket wood grips I know of for the CZs are from Hogue. I had previously heard good things about them but Tom doesn't seem to like his. They are pricey too.

I have Hogue wrap around rubber grips on mine. They are a pain to install as they are very very tight fitting, but once on, they make the CZ75B fit my hand even better, if that was possible and a not a blasphemy. I droped the originals in a bin and never looked back. Not only do the Hogue's give a nicer grip, but they are slim. The only draw back is that they make the grip "longer' front to back which can be a problem for small hands.

Thanks for the replies and the picture.

Joe,

I am off this weekend. Are you going to be around? Maybe we could meet at AB on Saturday for a while.

To Joe Klug...

As per your signature line--

"Check out my latest work for
The Carroll County Republican Party"

So, I checked it out. Great page, but one problem--every time it loads I have to stand up and take off my hat! :D

Hogue cocobolo grips...

I recently received my custom Hogue checked cocobolo grips for my 75B. They happen to fit perfectly, are very thin (about like a 1911 with stock wood grips), are beautiful, and have a GREAT feel to them. I like the feel of the stock plastic grips, and these have less (read NO) palmswell, are thinner, and more comfortable to boot.

I'll post pics or a link if I can. I've already taken pictures for the CZ forum, but I haven't had a chance to post 'em yet.

Good luck!

I`ve had Hogue checkered cocobolo grips on my CZ-75 almost since I got it. They fit perfectly, the wood is gorgeous and they feel great. I couldn`t be happier with em. Also FWIW the staff at Hogue was an absolute joy to deal with. If you buy grips from them do yourself a favor and call em on the phone. If I hadn`t I wouldn`t have been able to get the ones I have (long story :) ). I posted pics of mine some time ago on a thread like this but since Photopoint went pay I don`t have any way to post em again (yet). Marcus

R6,

I should be around on Saturday afternoon. Too many places to go and people to see in the morning. Is about 3 good for you at AB?

RANash,

I'll try to find some other patriotic music to put on the web site when I get some time. I ought to change it every 6 months or so anyway to keep things interesting. Thanks for taking a look.

Joe

Joe,

I'll probably be able to work around 3:00 pm. Maybe I'll see you there. You'd better bring you a sweat towel seeing as it doesn't appear that the humidity is gonna drop below %100 any time soon!! :(

I picked up 200 rounds of 9mm today to put through the CZ. I can't wait to try it out.

R6,

Sounds like a plan to me. I'll bring the full size 75 and Compact so you can compare grips. See you around 3.
