CZ 75 Standard IPSC

I posted the same inquiry about this pistol about 2 weeks ago....but no one replied.

From what I have read, It seems like the only bad thing about it is the USA licensed magazines that don't seem to "drop free".

But other than that, I don't know anyone who owns one.

Yeah Mate---I've got one.It points and shoots beautifully.I thiink it is the best "Wondernine" I've ever shot.Of course it depends on your hand size. Some people like Berettas--I just can't come to grips with them though. The CZ is very like the 1911 in operation but the grip, point, and shoot are different. For what it's worth,I'd sooner have a CZ75 than any other auto.

vanguard,

I don't understand why they wouldn't have drop free mags on a comp gun??? I read on the CZ USA Web site that the 75 B SA has drop free mags. I went and fondled one of these this evening and I'm really in love. The only thing I don't like about the standard single action is the black polymer finish and plastic grips. I wonder if you could get his gun in the same finish as the Standard IPSC. It doesn't say on there website, but it also says the CZ 75 B SA only comes in 9mm which is not true, it also comes in 40. Does anyone know if different finishes are availibe for the CZ 75 SA? I am going to send CZ an email and see what they say.

CZ 75 IPSC

Hi,

I'm living in belgium, and i have one CZ 75 IPSC for one year an i have shootting app. 6000 cartridges

Is this really one great pistol (for the monney !)
here app 900 $ with 4 magazines, 4 slide stop, 1 extractor, ...

the SA Trigger and the reliability is great (0 malfunction on 6000 cartridges) with factory and many reloads.

the précision is good (2" 25 meter).

the only complain is the sight an the poor finish (the sigth is down after only 1000 cps) i have placed one shock absorber under the sight

apparently CZ work on this (Fixed Sight).

But here in EUROPE, the best buy is TANFOGLIO LIMITED HC CUSTOM (App 1000$) OR THE SPS (App 1400$) because the dollar is very hight and one STI or SVI is luxe !!!! (app 2250 $ here)

Sorry for my bad english

Bullitt,
The CZ75SA uses the factory 9mm magazines which fits perfectly...I have the SA, and a CZ75B..... But the IPSC Standard is ONLY in .40SW....and uses a different magazine that is licenced by USA magazines. ( According to the magazine review)....and I personally do NOT have any experiences with USA mags...my impression of them is that they are not good quality magazine...compared to the Meggar mags or some of the factory ones. So, they may intended it to be drop free...but the quality of the fit may be hit and miss.
I haven't seen a CZ75 SA in .40SW....that would be great! But like you said...their website only says it comes in 9mm. I think if they made the CZ75SA in .40SW, it would take away some of the market of the IPSC version....especially at half the price! I want a SA in Nickel or stainless!!!!
It wouldn't make sense for them to make the IPSC standard in 9mm because it would score minor instead of Major...and I don't know anyone who would spend that much money on a gun to shoot minor on Limited-10 class!
PEETERSMARC,
Yup! the TANFOGLIO LIMITED HC CUSTOM is definitely the gun to get! I already inquired to EAA (the importers of Tanfoglio in the USA) and they said that they are not importing those models.... AAAAARRRGGG!!! Especially at a $1000! I would have bought it instantly! Damn.... even if they imported it....I live in CA which makes it almost impossible to get. :(
Happy shooting guys!

Great guns

I purchased a CZ75 Champion in 9mm and one of the CZ IPSC Standards also.

I much prefer the Champion and plan on getting another one in .40. I like the balance and trigger a lot better on the Champion. The frame work on the Champion is so good, when I mount a Kadet .22 conversion kit on it the groups come darned close to what my Walther GSP can do!

As for the CZ75 B SA, they are available in .40 or 9mm and in polished blue. Maybe the standard blue also. The rear sight is fixed and the trigger is adjustable for takeup and overtravel.

I am definitely sold on the CZ guns. Mine perform incredibly well and at a fraction of the cost of comparable models.

Since I purchased the Champion, I simply can't justify a SIG P210 purchase. The accuracy of the gun is absolutely incredible.

One major complaint, I don't shoot competition but would definitely like to see the IPSC Standard available in 9mm. Many of my shooting buddies feel the same way. They would buy it as the ultimate plinker!
