CZ 75 Standard IPSC - Overkill?

I consider myself a casual shooter limited only by my available time and funds. One can find me at the range about twice a month. However, I can appreciate a better made pistol over an average one. That said, if I'm in the market for a CZ style pistol, is the Standard IPSC a bit of overkill? Will I be satisfied with a CZ 75/85 or will I really appreciate the added features and benefits of a Standard IPSC? If I'm going to spring $550 for a duo-tone 85 Combat with 2 hi-caps, would it make sense to spring $280 more for a Standard IPSC .40 with 4-10 rounders? Thanks for the advice in advance.

I'd get the 75 or 85. The 85 Combat doesn't have a trigger block, but does have adjustable sights, so it's not as good as a carry pistol but better for range use (I have one). The IPSC pistol is tailored to the bizarre competitive environment of IPSC.

The IPSC is just that...for competition. Its a d*mn fine and accurate gun....but in this situation I believe its overkill......
If you look at the combat 85...it should be renamed the
comp." It has an adjustable trigger, adjustable sights, ambi controls, extended mag release, etc....the gun really is geared towards competition instead of combat. I would take a look at
this first.....IPSC guys and IPDA guys shoot more 75/85 guns
than the IPSC version......check out czforum.com
