CZ 75 Champion?

Can you remove the compensator and still shoot this thing? A comp on a 9x19 seems pretty pointless but all the other features on this pistol look sweet.
 
The Champion is available in both 9mm and .40 s&w, and since its an IPSC gun, I suspect the vast majority of the ones sold are in the larger caliber.

(I'm not familiar with IPSC, but understand that the smaller calibers [like 9mm <grin>] are at a competitive disadvantage in how things are ranked and scored in that discipline.)
