I have the 75 in 9mm and I am very pleased with the gun. What can you tell me about the 40 S&W version. How is the recoil, accurracy etc.

I have the CZ 75 in .40. Accuracy is better than my 9mm Sig Sauer P226 (my Sig 226 is a tackdriver BTW, so that is really saying a lot about the CZ). For example, the first time I shot my CZ 75 B (.40) I got one ragged hole (in the 1" range) @ 15 yards--the group was smaller than what my Sig 226 produced. I have since gotten this accuracy result on several occasions, so the first time wasn't a fluke. I have NOT tested past 15 yards with it yet, but I will do a 20 yard & 25 yard test next time I do some outdoor shooting.

Recoil is sharp overall, but less than MOST .40's. Its been 100% reliable with semi-wadcutter (I can't find pure "ball" ammo in .40), but I haven't tested hollowpoints yet. Since my CZ 97B feeds hollowpoints well, I assume the .40 version will too though. Overall, this is a great shooting .40. I am by no means a .40 fan BTW (I prefer 9mm and .45).

The CZ 75B in .40 does indeed handle the .40 snap much better than other .40's that I've fired. My .40 is more accurate than my 9mm CZ 75B, both by actual experience and by the test targets sent with both guns. It seems to prefer 180 grain fodder while my CZ 40B prefers the 155's.
