I recently went to the gunshop with the intention of buying a German Makarov. I have heard many good things about them in the past and thought I would get one. They only had 1 on the shelf, it was Bulgarian, a consignment sale, and they wanted $200 for it. I thought that was a bit steep.
They had 4 CZ-70s in stock for $99. The shop owner let me take one out and shoot it... I fell in love right there. I shot a clip full, walked back in, and handed him the cash.Since then I've shot 100 rounds through it with great results.
I have limited experience with the Makarov and was wondering how they would compare? I know the 32 auto is smaller than the 9x18, but I can reload some nasty stuff to compensate for that difference.
My question is reliability and accuracy in the CZ vs. the Makarov.
I'd appreciate any feedback from anyone with experience with both.
I will buy a Makarov regardless... Thats just my nature... The more the merrier!!!
PS: Am I wrong to be reluctant to buy the Bulgarian as opposed to the German?
