Hi, all...tried this on the rifle forum, but got no response: is the CZ 550 basically a large-ring Mauser 98? Reason I ask is 'cause Midway has lots of fun stuff for the 98...bolt face lapping tool, bolt lug lapping tool, etc. I was wondering if the CZ550 (in 375H&H) is interchangeable with the Mauser for this application.

Although the similarity between the CZ550 and the 98 Mauser the acrtions are different.
Both actions are excellent I look for the CZ to become more popular as the years go on - also, the metric cartridges of Breneke and Bock to gain in popularity. In my opinion they were, and are, some of the most up to date cases. They lacked the progressive powders we have today. Now we do and the Mauser action is compatable with them.
The 98 Mauser L.R. action is the finest action in the world!
