OK, gents and ladies,

I sold my last .17 Hummer and decided to upgrade to .17 Hornet (Hornady) for my .22 mag to .223 gapper rifle. And it's going to be a CZ 527, I decided.

However, what I really want is the 527 FS in this chambering, which is not currently offered... just the 527 American & Varmint.

So the question is, what's the likelihood of CZ chambering an FS in this in the next year? Wait or buy now?

send them an email. I sent one to them a few weeks ago to ask something and they got back to me within 24 hours. Worth a shot.

If they don't plan on making one, I wonder if you can build your own.

Quick check shows all the sight parts look to be aprox $85 total.

So, you can convert the American to a FS for about $280 :eek: (not including any gunsmith charges if you need one)
 
But now I'm thinking that since .17 Hornet Hornet WILL shoot fine in an Ackley Hornet chamber, but NOT vice-versa, maybe I should just scan and wait until I run across a smokin deal on a Cooper 38 Jackson Game or similar Cooper in .17 AH... then I could shoot either round and own my first Cooper.
