I am waiting delivery of a new cz 527 varmint with laminated stock. does anybody have one or any knowledge of them. i have several other .223's but i love my other cz 452 varminter so i figured i try the 527 out. thanks, mike.

I don't have that model, but do have a CZ 527 American and think it's a great rifle. My first attempt at sighting in and testing gave me .5" 3 shot groups at 100yds (with bulk 55gr SP ammo and 3-9x40 scope), so no further testing was done....lol. I'd be willing to bet your heavy barrel model will be even better. You're also going to enjoy that single set trigger. I'm up to 3 CZs now with the addition of two 550s. CZ makes a quality product, but prices sure have risen.

I have a CZ 453 Varmint and CZ 527 Varmint Kevlar .223 The 527 series is accurate and reliable and offers a very nice adjustable set/standard trigger which you'll enjoy. :)

i was looking at the kevlar 527 but i found a good deal on a laminated stock one for $500.00 new never fired. does your kevlar have a 1-9 twist?

Awesome........

I bought the American Varmint in .223 and the thing is beautiful. It is very accurate once you find the right flavor of ammo. Mine prefers the Black Hills 50g V-Max. The short Mauser action is very sweet and the stock is a piece of woodworking art.

You may want to float the barrel. Mine was like a sidewinder, but is perfect now after a concerted effort with 120 grit paper.

I can't get it away from my son at the range. It's so easy to shoot sweet 100 yd groups with the Nikon 3-9 x 40 he won't give it up.

I fully intend to get a 550 in a larger caliber. They make great guns.

Love mine

I have the LUX version with the drop comb stock. I really like it alot.

I may have to get one of those varminters, and sort of semi retire the LUX. It has accounted for hundreds of prairie dogs and a few coyotes.

Great little rifle.
