CZ-527 with short throat (223 Rem)

I was trying to figure some seating depths for my 527 and found out it's really short, I mean dangerous short. For example Speer 52 gr HP is supposed to be 2.200" it hits rifling at 2.149". Sierra 55gr SP is supposed to seat at 2.250", it hits rifling at 2.230". Same with 55 gr V-Max. If I seat deeper is that going to cause pressure spikes too. How does something like this leave the factory?

I have one Savage Edge that can chamber and shoot COAL of 2.40".
I have another Savage Model 10 variant that will not close the bolt on anything longer than 2.26".

Your case does sound like a manufacturing defect and I would contact the maker re: warranty service. They may have an authorized gunsmith in your area.

If this is an older or second hand gun, I would take it to a good gunsmith. You could have it reamed to any of several chambers: long throat, Wylde, AI, or standard.

UPDATE

I made a dummy with the 55 gr V-Max seated to 2.250" and hit rifling again. Seated to 2.240" and no problem. So I switched to the slit case neck method. I was using the Stoney Point method before. 55 gr V-Max was 2.243". Speer 52 gr HP hit at 1.199", the book calls for 2.200". The good news is the 55 gr Sierra bottoms out at 2.283" and book calls for 2.250". The Nosler 55gr BT goes all the way out to 2.316". I'll make a dummy of the sierra in the morning, But I'm pretty optimistic right now.
