CZ 527 Varmint

So I have this CZ in .204 Ruger. I have an OLD Redfield Widefield 3-9 scope on it. 100 yards, 5 shots that I could cover up with a dime. I have the best luck with 39g Sierra's loaded from the factory (Fed Premium.) Knowing that it's this capable with factory stuff...would it make sense to try to work up a load and reload for this thing?

Sure! You may be able to improve its performance a little, or at least match the performance of that ammo. If nothing else, developing a good handload for your rifle will keep you from having to buy factory ammo, and I am sure that Federal Premium ammo is not cheap.
