CZ-52?

I was at a gun show this weekend and found a CZ-52 in very good condition. What's the market value these days and what markings if any should I look for? The owner's asking price is 210.00. I believe that I may be able to dicker a little with him. Also, what is the CZ-52 like in the accuracy department?

I've seen them for anywhere from $140-$160, recently, in like-new (or new) condition. They sometimes have an extra mag and holster (which you can throw away). More than $175, assuming exc. condition, might be too high.

I have a CZ52 and find it has good accuracy for a military pistol
Don't dry fire it. The firing pin is a bit delicate and may break if dry fired.
Don't throw away the holster. If it is an original Czech military or police holster it adds to the collectors value.
I paid $180 for mine including a military holster, a spare magazine and 160 rounds of ammunition.

If you have a C&R FFL you can pick one up for as low as $129. I just got mine from Century International for $139.87 ($10 was for the holster). I just ordered some Czech ammo from J&G at $5.50 for 40 rounds.

I bought two of them several years ago for $110 each with holster, cleaning rod and extra magazine. Most people don't know it but the 7.62 X 25 will penetrate almost all soft body armor. The pointed bullet at around 1600 fps will really penetrate. Be careful of the ammo as a lot of it is corrosive. Make sure you clean your barrel after you shoot it. If you want something in a portable size that will defeat level III body armor this is your chance.
