Cz 52

Anyone knows how to fix the trigger on the CZ 52 that slaps you trigger fingertip on firing the gun ? I call that "feedback "slap and it hurts real bad. Thank you , Dan

watch out for subgun ammo

Be sure you're not using bulgarian submachinegun ammo. It's purported to be too hot... I had two boxes of it about 5 years ago when I first got my 52, it came on 8 round stripper clips and trigger slapped really bad, empties were thrown yards away and there were fireballs flying out the ejection port, too. I learned later that this stuff was loaded hot for use in PPS and PPSH burp guns, my buddy and I had been told that the x25 round was a zipper, we believed after shooting those two boxes of it.

I've been shooting Romanian surplus in mine lately, haven't noticed the slap being too bad at all... sorry I don't have any smith advice for the pistol, just the fyi safety warning.

firing pin upgrade

I had the same issue, I installed the firing pin upgrade from makarov.com and it went away, but with this "upgrade" it is no longer drop safe. I only use mine for the range so it is used in a very controlled environment.

I have heard there are other ways to fix this, some polishing/slight reshaping of some internal parts, but I don't recall where I read this.

trigger slap

Thanks you guys for your input; I don't recall what ammo I used , but I knew about the hot one from Bulgaria and I don't think it was the one used. In any case, it was not my gun and since then, I have read a lot of stuff about the TT- 33 Tokarev pistol which was design along the line of the 1911 Colt. Except for the grip. I look forward to more input, it might help someone else.
