Ivan, I shoot a Tokarev in the same caliber. It's not as sturdy or well made as the Cz52 but it's plenty of fun and I can shoot it reasonably well (better than either of the two 9mm's or 2 .380's I've owned). I would not hesitate to use it for self-defense. I picked up a 25 rd box of handload hollowpoints at a gun show a couple of months ago. I put 8 of them through it as a function test and the others are now in two mags with one up the spout ready for home defense. The loads are Hornady 85 grainers in new Starline brass. The guy that sold them to me had softpoints as well. I believe said he loaded them both to about 1490 fps. Problem is, I haven't seen him at the last 2 shows and seem to have misplaced his business card. I do remember that he is somewhere here in Texas, either Bryan or College Station. If I find him again I'll post on this forum.
