Did anybody else pick up one of these online in the last few months?
Well I did and have to say I am less than thrilled with it.
I can't get through a magazine without a jammed cartridge incident.
I would try a different brand of ammo if I could find any..anywhere.
Any ideas or experience from my fellow cap busters?
I'd like to keep it but am thinking of unloading it.

Possibly magazine issues. Don't know for sure. Did It come with only one?
I bought a CZ50 a few years back from Coles Distributors at the KnobCreek shoot. Ug-Lee! Pitted metal on the slide, and miss matched grips. One bkack, one brown. But, of all the ones in the case this one had a barrel that looked brand new, Mirror bright bore with strong rifling. I don't shoot a lot of 32 ACP, but It has been flawless through a couple fifty round boxes of FMJ type ammo.

What kind of ammo have you been able to find and use?

Some older European .32 autoloaders are notorious for misfeeding anything other than standard 70-73gr FMJ ball. Others jam or misfeed frequently with mild loads but will run flawlessly with ammo that is fairly hot- i.e. European brands such as Fiocchi, Prvi Partizan, or S&B. American-made .32ACP is typically loaded soft, presumably to prevent shooters from blowing up decades-old and poorly-maintained but treasured family relics.

Only ammo I have is Mag Tech 71 grain ball.
I was thinking the exact opposite that I was jamming because the round is too hot.
Thanks for the info CarguyChris.

I have a CZ70, the next model up from your 50. I had the same problem when I got mine, and it was the magazines, specifically, the mag springs. Once I replaced them, all was good.

I got spare mags from Marstar in Canada. They said they were "new", but they had the same spring problem as the one what came with the gun. Replacement springs fixed them too. Wolff has the springs.

Before you do anything else, Id try the springs.

I used to have one that had the same problems. I tried several magazines that I had for it and they all had similar problems. I finally sold it and years later, found that the CZ .32 ACP pistols tend to work well with European ammo but not so much with American made ammo. Has something to do with the rim dimensions of the European being a bit more generous. Might want to try some Seller & Bellot or other European ammo and see if that makes a difference.

Im still betting on it being the mag springs. I only ever fed mine American .32's, and once I changed out the springs, it ran fine.

Thanks for all the info.
Just saw Prvi Partizan 71 grn fmj's at Wideners for 12.00/50 rounds.
I will also look into replacement mag springs, but I will have to ask one of you fine gentlemen to walk me through that procedure.
I can't imagine it's that difficult..

Cz50... I haven't seen one of those in... 30 years.

Not too Repititious?

I've had a CZ 50 for 20 yrs. or so, #733,XXX so one of the early ones made at Statonice before production moved to Ursky Brod. All matching #'s on the frame, slide & bbl..Marked NB 52 on the front strap. No crossed swords or lion in a circle or date on the left side of the slide. My Slovackian neighbor tells me the "NB" indicates acceptance by a state agency, so not a commercial piece. It came with a vz-70 magazine...it works, but the right mag would have a more pronounced downward angle to it's plastic floorplate.

Wolf makes magazine springs, likely much easier than finding spares. It likes Sellier & Bellot .32 acp ammo much better than domestic brands. Hotter & some slight but important differences in the cases & rims.

The hottest .32 ACP ammo is made by Fiocchi. I use it in my CZ 27, 1903 Colt and Keltec P 32 without any problems.

CZ 50 Mag

gyvel-- Thanks for the link. Seller makes it clear these are new manufacture, I asked who made/supplied them, will see what they say & what I get.

Check also for rim-lock issues (common with .32ACP). My first handgun was a .32ACP Bernardelli striker fired (made in 1955) and I experienced rim-lock problems with current production Fiocchi. No problems with the longer Magtecs. Try also Sellier & Bellot. Be also very careful inserting the rounds in the magazines.
P.S.: that's a pistol I didn't know.
