Hi everyone,

I just ordered a CZ 452 trainer. I was curious if anyone can give me some advice on the rings Im going to need to mount a scope with a 44mm objective lense.

I understand that the rear adjustable sights are slightly taller than usuall, so I was wondering if anyone would know how tall the rings should be?

Thanks!!

For scopes with objectives < 50mm, a set of low rings should work well. Consult the brownell's catalog for the mounts /rings your particular rifle requires. I have many years exp with winchesters, rem, sav, & howa, but never had the opportunity to work on cz rifles---really like their pistols a lot.

PS: SINCE "SVO" HAS SOME EXPERIENCE WITH THIS RIFLE & SCOPE COMBO, PLEASE TAKE WHAT HE SAYS IN CONSIDERATION. ALWAYS MOUNT THE SCOPE AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO THE BARREL & RECEIVER AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT TOUCHING THE BARREL OR INTERFERING WITH PROPER BOLT FUNCTION.

I have a 452 with a set of Redfield low rings and a Leopold 3-9X40 scope. The objective sits real close to the barrel. I would be concerned that a 44 mm objective would be touching the barrel on my set-up.

SVO: which 452 do you have? My trainer has a fairly large rear sight, so I am thinking that I will need high rings. I am going to try everything not to have to remove the rear sight.

The leupold rifleman clamp style see under aluminum rings will allow you to use both scope and sights. Neck position is not the most confortable but it will work. Medium/low rings cause scopes to hit the rear sight. rc
