CZ-100

GLOCKT

New member
I just came back from my favorite gun shop.I noticed a new CZ-100 40sw in the case priced at $410.I know this dealer is generally 5-7% over-priced,but it's the only new CZ-100 I've found in town.
Whats the scoop on this particular pistol?
Whats the various models it's available in also?
I noticed also a CZ-75 in a 9mm with the B after the 75.Does the B stand for the action?DA oppoused to QA or SA?
I am interested in the CZ-100 and have read alot about reliabilty, what's the other things I should look for in this pistol? Thanks for any insight.SAFE-SHOOTING!

Heard alot of good things about the CZ100 and finally got the opportunity to handle one. A gun in my CCW permit class had one and it shot nice groups. He praised it up and down. Had a glock and bought the CZ100 to replace it as his primary carry weapon. I took a close look at it and it felt good, trigger pull was a few pounds heavier than a glock and the handle felt great. Also heard the first models that came out had crappy triggers but CZ has since fixed the problem. I wasnt impressed with the slide lock cause it was recessed into the handle and thats a little tough for a lefty to release the lock. Other than that it was nice for the money he paid for it here in AZ. Bought it in the Pheonix suburbs for $399.

The 100 is the first Poly gun from CZ. It did have some trigger pull issues at first but that has been fixed.. It comes in 9mm and 40s&w and is a DAO gun. The B" stands for firing pin block...you can carry is hammer down or cocked and locked on the 75 B.
If you can buy one off of the net...I see them for 300$ all of the time on gunbroker and auctionarms. It should save you some money over a local buy.....Check out the czforum....and
Shoot well

More like 15% or more.;) The show prices on these run about $335. Maybe a bit less in 9mm.

I don't what you guys have been handling, but the trigger is not what I would called fixed. Some of the grittiness seems to have been cleaned up, but the main problem is that the travel is way too loooooong. That has not changed. :( For those of you acclimated to normal DA triggers on an auto or revo, think about 1/3 to 1/2 again further trigger travel.

As to the slide release, it was also a problem for me as a rightie. With my thumbs curled down and locked in a normal grip, my knuckle would ride the lever just enough to prevent it from locking on an empty mag. It you use a high-thumb, or thumb-forward hold, this won't be an issue for you. For those of you that own one in .40, do those magazines ever break-in enough that you don't need the tool to load the 9th and 10th rounds?

Thanks for the insight on the CZ-100.I found another dealer here in town that can bring it in for $320 plus tax.I need to research it a little more and go from there. Thanks again!SAFE-SHOOTING!
