CZ-100

Anyone here have any experience with the CZ-100? What's it like compared to other polymer framed guns on the market? Does it decock or have a cocked & locked safety?

While the CZ-75 is considered one of the best 9mm handguns available, I haven't heard much about the CZ-100. Just curious to hear opinions.

A good friend of mine has a CZ-100 in 9mm. There is no safety as it is a DAO design. The trigger is long and pretty heavy, but once you get accustomed to it, you can shoot pretty well. It has adjustable sights that are easy to use, from a shooting standpoint (couldn't tell you about actually adjusting them).

My buddy had some malfunctions in the first couple of hundred rounds, but none since.

If they made a version with a lighter trigger, I'd buy one, but I just hate DAO.

The CZ-100 is a well-designed, light, seemingly durable polymer 9mm gun with a trigger that is terrible.

It apparently gets better over time, but I'm not sure it'll get "better" enough for me to ever buy one. Unhappily the trigger problem is apparently stems from the trigger design -- a transfer bar flexing and rubbing against the polymer frame -- and its not something a gunsmith can fix.

Given the option, I'd go for the CZ-75 compact, instead. Or a Glock 19, or one of the new HS-2000s.

(I read that CZ will be making a major change to the CZ-100 trigger soon, making it DA/SA like the CZ-75/85 line. I so, it might be worth checking out, then.)

I had one. Ditto the reason for selling it: The trigger. Other than that, I thought it one hellof a pistol: Light, accurate, easy to disassemble, really comfortable grip, small and concealable.
