I AM LOOKING TO BUY A CZ 100. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY INFO ABOUT THIS PISTOL? I KNOW ITS A POLYMER FRAME, AND LOOKS LIKE A STEYR. ANY INFO IS APPRECIATED. THANX!

About all I know is that it has a polymer frame, has an adjustable rear sight, and is DAO. It's available in 9mm and .40S&W.

The Good of the CZ100 .40: Cost, light weight, CZ name. So much for the positives.

The Bad: Trigger pull sucks, sucks, sucks!
Worst I have ever felt since the VP70. Trigger pull is long, long, long! Don't worry about mandatory trigger locks this thing has them already installed! Acts like it was designed by HCI. Considering the CZ reputation and quality this gun is a Czech Clunker. BTW: Don't ever adjust the "fixed" sights on the rear they are fragile as hell and this tiny little spring which works the firing pin lock will depart the gun rapidly. Don't do it. Not worth it. Get some other .40 if your stuck on that medium caliber. Go Glock 23 or H&K USP 40 compact.

It all depends on if you like long trigger pulls or not, I can shoot mine just as quickly as a SA 1911, with more accuracy as well. It is slim, light, very accurate; has little or no recoil because of the two ports.

But as I said, some people don't like the trigger, some do. Go to your gunshop and dry-fire one.

More Accurate and as quickly as a single action 1911? No way! Maybe a Norinco. I will grant that some people will like the trigger pull, there are some people on this board who like Gore too (and will vote for him). However, most won't prefer either clunker. The CZ 100 trigger pull woefully absurd. Better guns out there. CZ waited along time to get this gun to market, they should have kept waiting.

I CAN shoot it better than my Colt Ser'70 Govt Mod .45, to me it just points better in my hand. The only prob I have is trying to shoot weak hand with it, more so in rapid fire. But that is only because my right hand, and fingers are weak. Also, I haven't had a single malf in 800+ rounds.

Hey Daniel, I found that I can shoot with the long/heavy trigger. Haven't had any experience with the CZ100 but do have with a Sigma. I fired the 9mm Sigma and had (for me) an excellent group(silver dollar size at 20yds). I don't think I could do that in a stress situation, especially with a heavy trigger. I really needed to concentrate HARD, but if I wanted the same results then I would go with a gun with a lighter trigger(Sigs, 1911, or even Ruger auto's).

I have a Border Patrol friend that just purchased a CZ-100 in 9mm. Since the BP uses DAO, the trigger fell into line with what he is accustomed. He said he was able to one-hole 10 rounds at 21 feet, with one flyer.

I wonder if lower pull drawbars will become available like Glocks?

I have one. Hopefully this link will work: http://www.weaponforums.com/Forum47/HTML/000016.html
If you like Beretta's DAO tirgger, this will seem natural to you. I will, however, be smoothing out the serrations on mine. The gun is VERY light, even when loaded. Spare 10rd. mags only run about $30. The adjustable rear sight looks homely, but there is NO concern of the firing pin safety spring "launching" on you. I've replaced it with the white outline fixed rear on mine.
Considering it cost over $100 less than a Glock 23, I would say it is a good value, IMO.
(OK, the link apparently doesn't work, AGAIN. Go to www.weaponforums.com, and then pull up 60 days worth of topics under the CZ forum to reach the post. Sorry for the inconvenience.)

VictorLouis, my CZ-100 has no serrations on the trigger, and it came with a fixed white outline rear sight only, no adjustable. Though I do live in Australia, so perhaps I might have a newer one?

Daniel, sounds like you do have a different version. The 100 I had also had trigger serrations-very uncomfortable ones- which made shooting not to much fun, along with the long trigger pull. Also had the adjustable sights. Maybe yours in Australia is better and your trigger allows for better shooting? I step back from my rant. Its just my 100 trigger sucked.

Daniel and legion: Mine is the .40, which may be different than the 9mm. I know that only the .40 has the porting, at least in this country. The serrations are really only a bother when trying to bench it for accuracy. In normal firing, I don't seem to notice it as much. I still want the advantages of the smoother trigger, though. FWIW, most of the stacking that it had when new has subsided with practice and dry-fire.
It seems that mine was mistakenly shipped with a spare mag for the 9mm. A 13RD MAG! The customer service lady at CZ apologized profusely for the mix-up and promised to do right by me. It's been about 10 days since I mailed it off to CZ with my warranty registration. We'll see what happens.
It now seems that my original link is working!

Tecolote, I thought just as you did, at first. The problem is, the CZ100 is NOT a pre-ban design, nor was it even in existence. Hence, possession of THAT mag...well, I think you know what that means. :(
The CZ rep said that they try to stay abreast of what is scheduled for U.S. export, but there is an occasional lapse such as mine. I'm still waiting on their response.
