Cylinder & Slide Questions

A Couple of questions about Cylinder & Slide.

Has anybody installed one of these SFS (Safety Fast Shooting) Systems on their Browning High Power? Saw it first in a mag. ad, and went and looked to see what they said about on their website. (Both said about the same thing). I was just wondering if anyone had any practical experience with it on their BHP.

What about C & S gunsmithing services. Anybody had any work done by them? Experiences?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

In regards to the SFS read this: [Link to invalid post]

Bill Laughridge (owner) and Christian (head gunsmith) are both APG members and his shop turns out good work in my experience. They also make some of the best BHP and 1911 parts on the market.

C&S improved a Colt 1991A1 for me. I selected the level 2 package, which is featured in their catalog. The work took about 6 weeks. I may have been one of the last customers to order a Roguard finish through C&S. As of Y2K, they are no longer offering to forward pistols to Robar for this finish. However, C&S still offers a traditional blue finish. Roguard is okay, but I am not sure it is worth the extra expense and trouble. A good blue finish, polished brightly, may be more attractive. As for the work of C&S, the trigger job is excellent. The pistol functions flawlessly too.

I have had good work done by Bill and his crew at the Second Chance shoots. They replaced my S&W rear sight on my prior 1911A1 after it sheared off during practice. A good group of people.

No experience with the SFS units though.

i have a S&W 4006. when purchased it was a jam-o-matic. i liked the feel of the gun but it was not good for much else than training jam clearance drills. i tlaked to C&S and they not only fixed the gun on warranty with S&W paying the bill but did it in record time. i put the gun in line for a combat action job and reliability package. i waited for 8 months before they got around to sending for the gun but when it came back WOW. that gun is now a legend of reliability, accuracy and smooth action. i think they are one of the best shops in the business. plus Bill will answer his e-mails and is not an A$$hole like many gunsmith gurus.
