Cylinder release screw on Redhawk..

I think I need a Ruger expert for this one :D

There is a screw under the cylinder release, the manual calls is a "crane latch pivot" mine will come loose from time to time and has to be snugged up.
Have any of you ran into this problem and if so will loctite or a little nail polish take care of it? Also how tight should I tighten it?

Thanks,
Scott

I had the same problem with a GP-100 as well as the retaining screws for the front sight of a MK II Government Target. Red Locktite works well. Make sure the threads are free of dirt and oil.

I did the same thing with my MKII.
I just wasn't sure if it was safe to do that with the Redhawk since its actually called a pivot I didn't want to lock the latch so it wouldn't be able to open it.

Dang! You just ruined my future income. My sucker bet was, "How many screws on an adjustable sight DA Ruger revolver?" They would think and then respond, "Three! The two screws for the sights and one for the grip." Thanks a lot. I should delete this thread as harmful to my retirement. :D
