The gun:
Charter Arms .357 Magnum
The model:
Target Bulldog
The problem:
The cylinder releases very hard. The cylinder seems sloppy when in position, and I believe due to this slop, the action will not fire correctly for each follow-up shot.
My theory:
I think the set screw that holds the depth of the cylinder lock-pin is in too far.
I have heard that this can cause this malfunction, and am wondering what others out there think is the best solution?
Resetting the depth, and loc-tite it into position?
I haven't taken the gun apart yet, but am curious on advice that may be available from those who have one, or had similar problems with similar guns.
Any and all information/advice welcomed, and greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
