A brief explanation of new CYF category action shooting range and stations:
Station 1: a large room full of carboard "friendly" targets seated at cafe tables. You sit with your back to the room waiting for the start. Watch for the pop-up targets to appear in the mirror on the birdcage at your table. Get your guns out of the birdcage and engage all three targets in less than 5 seconds. Run /jump over table to doorway to station 2:
Station 2: slide down 45 degree smooth ramp covered with flour for maximum slipperyness.. engage 4 targets at varying ranges in 3/4 cover. slide to a stop and shoot target #4 again at point blank range. Time limit 5 seconds. Reload and stalk your way to stage three.
Station 3: Long hallway of chinese restarant back room complete with stacks of dishes and steam table at the end, active targets will swing in and out as you walk down the 40 foot long hallway. Break as many dishes as possible while engaging 6 targets.Push target 7's face onto steam table and fire at point blank range. Time limit 12 seconds.DROP YOUR GUNS.Proceed to Stage 4
station 4: Small room with card table and 4 reactive targets seated at table. Kick table and grab guns from table in mid air.. engage all 4 targets in 3 seconds. Additional 10 seconds granted to pose for effect.. proceed to stage 5
Station 5: 6 moving targets behind 200 gallon exotic fish tank Engage all 6 in ten seconds and proceed to stage 6
Blow dry hair
Station 6: grab life sized hostage target and evade fire from paintball firing aggressor targets through formal chinese dining area full of civilain obstacles. Return fire as needed there are 5 shooters and you may take 1 minor hit but your hostage MAY NOT. Bonus points for diving over bar to engage hidden target. Time limit 20 seconds. Proceed to station 7:
Station 7 enter elevator and reload engage 5 targets as doors open, bonus points if target falls and jams door open. Time limit 3 seconds from opening of door. proceed to stage 8.
Station 8 Start down stairs engaging 2 targets on different sides of stairwell Time limit 4 seconds. Bottom of stairs is station 9
Station 9: Go through door into parking garage and engage 1 target at point blank with any remaining ammunition and remove its weapon.. (an assault rifle) run across parking garage engaging 6 targets while making way to finish line. Slide across hood of late model 70's americruiser to complete. Time limit 15 seconds. (ps if you slide across backwards you can still engage targets)
The CYF range is considered a work "in progress" so any additional thoughts are encouraged.
