CWP In Oregon- Possible Changes

Watching the news tonight on channel 10 stated that hearings would begin tommorow concerning CWP holders in Salem.

The first was bill # 2787 which would make public anyone who has a permit.

The second was bill # 2790 which would allow privacy for permit holders.

There has also been atricles in the paper where Sen. Ginny Burduck a Demo. from Portland who wants to limit permits.

I will attemp [ have tried but no calls returned ] to find out more about this by contacting my Rep. and State Senator.

I will pass on any info. that I can obtain. Best, Eagle
 
Media Misinformation

I called my state Rep. Wally Hicks and it seems that the media was inaccurate.

The Reps. spokeswoman said that both house bills are good. HB#2787 will keep CWP holders info. private.

HB#2790 would allow CWP holders from other states with similiar requirements to be recognized in Oregon.

Called State Senator Jason Atkinson's Office and asked about Sen. Ginny Burdicks agenda to stop or limit CWPs for private citizens. She is closely aligned with Portland Mayor Sam Adams who is part of NY Mayor Bloomberg's anti-gun campaign. Sen.Atkinson's spokeswoman said that the proposal would be Dead On Arrival.

The media is very inaccurate in their reporting. Why, am I not suprised?
