I have a CVA Stalker in .223, wanted an inexpensive option and so far this is it. Got it at Dicks for $170.
Did some research and it stacks up pretty well with any single shot, maybe even the TC.
It has the Begarra barrel that is made in Spain and said to be very good. Its stainless, has a heavy 22" barrel, a black plastic stock with a great cushy recoil pad and sling mounts.
About a 1000 rnds through w/o any problems. I put a 3-9 Bushnell Banner on it and it does 3/4" grps. with the cheap Russian ammo.
Having a Rem 700 in '06 and a 721 in 270, I dont need many rifles, but I always wanted a 223 for paper, plinking and varmint.
I dont think the barrels can be changed, but for the price of 1 TC you can buy 3 CVA's.
Come to think of it I always wanted a 25-06, or maybe a 7-08, or maybe a 45-70. Hmm...Wait I have 30-06, sh#t!
