I did a search on the forum to find any existing threads on this and I didn't find any.

Here is one of the videos:

"Gonna show ya a trick ma dad taught me a long long time ago..."

So I've read where people have really bad reactions at the mere mention of cut shells.

I can see how subsequent shots would be dangerous if any of the cut shell was left in the barrel.

I have some questions myself - like, I know Federal doesn't make FLITECONTROL® wads in every shot size, but doesn't it do basically the same thing - keep the shot relatively tight for a long distance?

It may be the same principle, but it's much safer in execution.

The flite control wad is sized to the bore. The cut shell is sized to the chamber (larger than the bore). Thus the crux of the problem..............

I can't thing of one good reason to fire anything from a shotgun that was not intended to be fired from a shotgun. If you want to shoot slugs, buy a box of slugs.

A whole case of slugs is cheaper and easier than a new shotgun and facial reconstructive surgery.

What were your search terms? Did you tell it to only search the shotgun forum? Cut shells have actually been discussed a lot lately.

I've been tagging the other posts with "cut shell".

When I first searched I didn't turn up anything, I just did a general search under "search forum".
