Custom Stock....

I thought some of you might want to feast your eyes on some really nice Turkish Walnut. This stock was recently done for my shooting partner by Bob James in Polson, Mt.

This is on her Beretta 682 Gold E Sporter with 32" barrels. Stock is to her deminsions, after a lenghty fitting process. After her first shot with the gun, she smiled and said she never knew a shotgun could be soooo comfortable to shoot!

Gorgeous wood. Checkering looks even and wrap around is tuff to do well. But the recoil pad appears a little flared and waffled at the toe, but we're splitting hairs there, eh? Got a winner there!!

Gorgeous, Will. Thanks for posting. What are you shooting these days?....

For those who may not know, Will is one of the top SC and FITASC competitors in the US. He also instructs.....

Not that it is any of my business what she paid, but would you be willing to give a ball park figure on what workmanship like this would go for?

Leather covered pad

yorec,
the pad is a leather covered Kick Eez......the "puckered look" is where the leather wraps around the pad. I see what you mean about the toe looking flared....but it must be the pic...I put a straight edge to it, and its follows the line of the stock perfectly:confused:

Dave,
I'm shooting a DT10 still, but after doing well in France a whle back, BERETTA sent me one of the newer DT10L's.....the old gun is still doing fine[its got over 250,000 thousand round through it] but its standing ready as my back up gun;)

Bandreno,
The stock invoiced for around $3800 for the fitting, the wood, the checkering, and of course the finish work. Thanks guys,......

"Doing well in France".....

IIRC,Will, you won. Such modesty becomes you.

250K? Sounds like an 870 for durability.
