Custom sig

I don't think there are any import laws for the state of Montana.

If you want an unusual Sig, I'd contact Sig and ask them. They will do the importation part for you.

While probably not necessary, there is also a process for importing firearms into the US from a foreign dealer.

Like I said, importation is something of a pain, and you might as well let SIG USA do it for you. Chances are the overall price will be lower, too, because of European taxes.

But you are unlikely to find anyone who here knows the answers to which is better for sure. Unusual situation, unusual guns.

I'd simply contact SIG in Europe and SIG USA and tell them what you want. They'll tell you what they can do. In the meantime you could also look for a gun shop in Montana with an importation license. Failing that, a US importer that does individual imports.

TheCollector,

if you want to buy a gun in Germany you can order it at SIG Sauer in Eckernförde (through a German dealer) and have a German exporter send it to you. Be prepared for €200+ in shipping and paperwork, you will have to pay taxes since you are in a EU country.

In order to buy any gun and get an export permit, you will need an import permit from your country. If you want to pick it up in Germany, you will need to have the gun already on a permit and have a European firearms pass issued by your country. This will allow you to have the gun for a limited time in Geermany, I think 30 days. Even if you pick it up yourself, you will need an export permit ( Verbringungserlaubnis).

Those are very cartely looking Sigs. Which one are you after? If I had to choose, I'd go for the one with the scary spider webs.
