I like fancy guns just as much as the next guy, but, personally for me, when it comes to carry / self defense / home defense, I'm going with a stock, reliable, economical, easily replaceable gun. The last thing I need is an anti-gun prosecutor / jury / judge trumping up issues about how I modified my gun to make it more deadly. I'll just keep the fancy ones for range toys.

I know prosecuters will pull this, but at the same time if somebody shot someone, how can that be made " more deadly"? The guys been shot reguardless of the delivering devices appearance or projectiles used and being shot is most definitely deadly most of the time. As for custom glocks i don't believe in custom glocks to me theyre just not guns to be customized.
 
I just have a hard time buying one of the most utilitarian pistols out there and going through all the work to make it look different. Why not just buy a different pistol from the start? But heck it's your money, use it how you want.
 
Before this thread gets closed for being nothing more than an advertisement let me say this.
If you are serious, and not just a shill for the company you have spent a lot of money on a competition "race" gun. Not a reasonable CCW weapon. Many, if not most factory firearms are perfectly fine for the purpose as they are built.
If you are unfortunate enough to ever have to actually use that expensive gun for SD it is going to reside in a police locker somewhere for some time. Things get misplaced often in such a situation, and I'd much rather have it happen to a gun I had a lot less money tied up in.
Secondly, there is the possibility of an anti-gun prosecutor using the fact that you were carrying such a custom "killing machine" as they might call it. Implying to a jury that you were out looking for trouble as a reason to use it.
 
What is a custom Glock? I don't think custom and Glock belong in the same sentence together. Modified seems much more appropriate.
 
I think the Glock is an OK weapon, have shot a few race gun glocks I get why one would want that for shooting sports. That thing for CCW?

No thanks.

A stock 19 / 22 / 26 / 27 / 29 / 30 / 36 among others are a way better option for most people.

Kind of like buying a porsche 911 or mack dump truck as a daily driver. Unless you have a very odd lifestyle it's not going to work out well for you.

Hard to tell isn't it? Nothing but slicked up internals and re-worked trigger. Not a target pistol, not a race gun, but a carry pistol tuned for reliability with any ammo anywhere. I have a video too, two actually, not as slick as the linked one above, but more fun. :)

I am no great shakes as a pistol shot, but I can tell the difference. Thing is, it doesn't look any different, but feels better to me, especially in SA reset. Also, it's just plain fun to shoot.
 
By carry gun, do you mean in a case on the way to the range? Here's an advertising tip, when you don't take the context or your audience into consideration, you have become spam.
 
Not sure if I agree with the whole "expensive guns and evidence locker" thing. I hear it here ogten, but my take is, if I just shot and KILLED someone, i dont think my gun will be weighing greatly on me. Granted, my carry guns get beat up, so I too don't want a super expensive one, but not for the fact that I may lose it for a year or two. I wouldn't care unless it was a family heirloom. But I think 500$ and less is a good bar for an ed

Amazing ! How do they rework the internals to handle .357 magnum ? That would be terrific I'm thinking. What did it cost ?

Am I missing something about that CZ video and .357 mag?

I've never heard of a gunsmith that can turn a 9mm into a semi auto .357 magnum. As far as I know, if you want an auto that handles .357 you have 2 choices..
