Custom Beretta 21/M4

Rechambered a .22 short 950 Minx barrel to .22LR, and fitted it to a Beretta Model 21. Had to nickel plate the barrel to match.
One of the few (if not the only) 4" barrel Model 21 pocket plinkers.

Neat and well done!!! I like the classic lines of having the barrel out in front of the slide. Similar to a Luger or P38

How does it shoot?
There have been a lot of old .22 shorts ruined by rechambering to LR because the usual 20-24 twist was not enough for the 40 gr LR bullet which calls for a 16 twist.

Haven't shot it yet. Not likely to any time soon.
When I went to rechamber this barrel, I found it was already factory chambered for LR!
Perhaps the twist is optimal, too. I can always use Stingers for the little bullet.

"Sorry Bill, the barrel looks too short for the body. Not as well proportioned as the original minx."

I have a 4" Minx. Do you have a 4" M21?

Very, very cool! The pocket Berettas are loads of fun, and it's surprisingly easy to be quite accurate with even the regular short barrels. I'm going to have to track down the long-barreled Minx one of these days.

Nice work, Bill! Thanks for sharing.

looks like it should have an orange painted tip

If someone pointed that thing at me, I might think it was a toy.
