Current 3" .38/.357 mag snubs?

I've been searching manufacturers sites and haven't found much, so I guess I'll ask here: Who currently makes a 3" snub in .38/.357 mag? Taurus doesn't seem to, and none jumped right out at me on S&W's site. Or did I just miss 'em?

Thanks in advance,

My suggestion is;

to find a LNIB Smith & Wesson model 65 with a 3" barrel; or
buy a new Ruger.

Ala Dan beat me to the S&W line but I like the mod 60 with a 3 inch barrel and adjustable sights. I have a 4 inch 65 with a sq butt, wish I had a 3" with round butt.

I had a Smith 65LS, matte stainless, three inch, shrouded ejector rod. When Smith did their stunt, I was so shocked, ticked, and disappointed that I traded it off. Might have been the sweetest revolver I've ever had. Still miss it. They still make 'em but I doubt I'll get another.

S&W has recently made a Model 66 with the high vis site in 3". Saw it in one of the gun magazines about 6 months ago and saw one at a gun shop. Must be some sort of special run because it is not advertised in their on-line catalog. My wife has a Model 65 LS in 3". Good gun and still made if you can stand having "Lady Smith" on the side of it.

I LOVE my S&W 65LS. They use lighter springs in these models so that they are easier for women to use (for weaker hands) so the trigger pull and action are smoother. The matte finish and rosewood grips are absolutely beautiful. Also, I think the fit and finish is better than most other modern S&W guns. The gun is incredibly accurate and being a K-frame it is quite comfortable with just about any loading. With the 3" barrel and RB it is concealable enough for just about any snubby mission. This gun is such an improvement over today's S&W offerings that it is easily worth the "price" of having "Ladysmith" written on the side and having the more feminine gun case (it has soft sides instead of being hard plastic).

S&W 65LS picture.

Oh yes, and you can get the S&W 66 (K-frame) in 3", the S&W 60 (J-frame) in 3" and the Taurus 605 in a 3".

I'll chime in that I also love my 65LS, for all the reasons he stated. Fixed sights, beautifully finished, smooth action. Too bad they had to engrave "Ladysmith" on the sideplate. Now I wonder if that's why I'm starting to look at purses and high heels at the store??? ;)

Here's mine. Since the pic was taken, I've bobbed the grips to boot-grip length (flush with frame bottom).

Ruger has a 3-1/16" bbl in the SP101 series, small frame 5-shot and a 3" in the GP100, 6-shot medium frame. Both are built like a tank, it just depends what frame size you prefer.

You know? Right after posting this I happened upon S&Ws site, which lists (5) ~3" models. (337, 360, 65LS, 60, 386). Don't know why I didn't look there before posting here.

Anyone know if it's feasable to "upgrade" a 2.125" model 60 to a 3.125"-er? I already have the 60, just want a longer tube.

Not so current, but I still love this one! It's a great backpacking gun and good for the home.
I know that Ruger has not made my Security six in a while, but this is a great gun for the $150.00 I paid for it!

If you can handle a used gun I just purchased a S&W Model 65 police trade in with MASS. STATE POLICE on the backstrap. Not a problem since I put csome old Pachmayr Compac grips on it. Cost me $225.

Old cop 3" revolvers are out there.
