I have two stainless S&W N frames with round butt, a 5 1/2“ 627-0 and a 5” 610

I personally think that RB are ok for snubbies

but feel and look weird in a longer barrel / heavier gun. The balance just feels wrong and there is no support in the bottom of the palm

So I ordered a pair of RB to SB conversion combats from Culina in Bastogne walnut. I am very happy with the grips.

Doh!

I replaced a 2.5” barrel with a 6” on a RB Model 29 Smith. I had tried to simulate the mod with archery bow weights before having the work done. When I got the gun back from Magna-Port I was very disappointed by its lack of balance. No where near as nice in the hand as my 4” square butt. Live and learn. I sold it. Some RB to SB conversions might have saved the day!

Not a fan of Culinas. The set I bought looked nothng like the photo. My wife even thought they were plastic because they looked and felt just like shiny brown plastic. I sold them cheap, like plastic.
