CTG means?

I ran into a S&W 28 Highway Patrolman with the caliber .357 CTG on the barrel.

What exactly does CTG stand for? I am positive it means cartridge, but I don't want to be wrong. If it does just mean cartridge, why not just say .357 Magnum CTG? Would it be safe to use fullhouse .357 mag loads in this particular Model 28? I don't see why not...but I like learning new things, no matter how dumb my question probably is.

Thanks for the clear up in advance.

Actually, it means Totally Cool Gun (TCG) but apparently the guy stamping the barrels at S&W is dyslexic and marked them CTG by mistake. We made up the story about CTG meaning cartridge because we don't want to hurt the guy's feelings.

On the question of ammo, by all means feel free to use any .357 Magnum load in this gun. The N frame S&W is quite strong. This was the original .357, by the way, and can handle anything short of the insane in loads.

Just please don't ask if +P .38 Special ammo is safe in this gun.
