This question is one that has many residents here in ct wondering? I was just informed buy a friend of mine that in ct, You can carry your firearm concealed or not concealed. Now as a ct pistol permit holder i was told you must carry your handguns concealed by the firearms instructors who give the classes for the pistol courses. Anyone have any info concerning this topic?

There is no law requiring concealed carry in CT, just a pistol permit. However, the BFPE wants you to conceal it. If someone is offended by open carry and they call the police, they may cite a person open carrying for "Breach of Peace". They could revoke your permit and then you would have to appeal to the BFPE to get it reinstated. Instructors will generally tell you to keep it concealed to avoid hassle. Pistol instructors are not lawyers so they will not usually give legal advice.

IANAL and TINLA, just information.
