So, the filibuster was ended today by a vote of 68-31

19 Republicans crossed party lines to vote down the filibuster.
However, the point the article makes is that many who wanted the filibuster quashed do not disagree with the end result, just the method of getting there.
If we consider that they have 68 votes with 19 Republican dissenters, and they need 59 votes before Biden (I believe, somebody please correct me if wrong) then, to make things very simple, if half of the Republican dissenters oppose the bill, it should not pass.
Anyways, the very simplistic point that I'm making is that, although the filibuster was defeated, I remain hopeful that the bill will also be defeated as many senators it seems have voted against it on principle rather than the actual message.
What do you guys think?
