Couple of question on Pietta double action Starr

Just curious what the going rate should be for a used (not original purchaser) but still new in the box Pietta double action Starr. Haven't made my mind up if I like it or not. Compared to the graceful lines of the '51's, '60's and '58's the Starr looks kind of "clunky" to me. Anyone here have any experience with them on how they handle and balance?

I own a Pietta SA Starr and it's probably my least favorite bp revolver. That's a personal observation, so others may have a different opinion.

mec wrote a review of the Pietta DA Starr in his second book, Percussion Revolvers, A Guide To Their History, Performance and Use. The title of the chapter was "Treason With a Hair Trigger, the Star Double Action Revolver", just to give you some idea what he thought of it. (I should mention that mec terminated his relationship with the book's publisher over poor proofreading results - the misspellings are not his fault.) His review was very unfavorable.

The book may still be available from amazon.com; pay close attention to the title and don't confuse it with the first book, which didn't cover the Starr.
