Couple of Good Deals

Went out to look at shotguns today (want a Saiga12 but was thinking about just getting a Mossberg) but ended up buying two pistols, instead.

Just picked up a Ruger 22/45 for $289.00 and an S&W 637 for $399.00!
Bud's online was $259.00 and $384.00 factor in FFL transfer and it was a wash or cheaper (not to mention no wait)! Sometimes you just get lucky.

Sometimes online sources have great deals. I got a new NYPD surplus Ruger GPNY for $425.00. It was made in 1991 but a FFL holder in AL was cleaning out his warehouse and put a post on www.gunsamerica.com in 2006.
I used the GPNY often for armed security and for vehicle protection on long car trips. I put a Hogue tamer grip on it and used Buffalo Bore 158gr lead SWC-HP +P or Speer Gold Dot 135gr JHP +P .38spl.

I saw a new in box surplus SIG P226 9mm for the NYPD on Gilbert Gun's website. It said the retail price was about $580.00. That's fairly good for a new P226 model. Gilbert's Guns is in TN and I do not know if they had major flood damage or problems like Nashville TN.
I got a 50rd box of Winchester Ranger T 124gr +P 9mm from them in 2009.
