Finally got all my parts from PSA, did stripped lower with complete upper. Got the lower together and have one spring left that I did not use, its green, stubby and somewhat fat compared to the rest of the ones used. Anyone know where it goes, everything seems to work. Also, the upper, it had a fair amount of brass signs in the face of the bolt, as if they put quite a few rounds through it? Do they test fire a few before shipping? And lastly, the finish inside the upper receiver, it looks like my bushmaster after several hundred rounds, is this just their color of coating, or am I missing something?

Possible the disco spring. The disco spring is .350 long, .150 diameter and should have seven coils. One end is larger to seat in the trigger. The bolt catch spring is very similar but the same diameter on both ends.

I have seen green extractor springs but you don't get a extractor spring in a standard LPK.

It fits the description of the disco spring, however there is one in there now, and trigger works fine, is it worth taking it back apart to see if this one works better? Im thinking they sent an extra.

How about the "wear looking" finish inside the receiver, anyone seen that on a new upper?

Do they test fire the uppers?
I don't know of any firearms manufacturer that doesn't both because of liability claims and in the interest of product quality.

I just built a PSA stripped lower tonight. That IS the disconnector spring- the wide end is the bottom and sits in the little well on the top of the trigger.
Do you have a spring in there now? Double check- it's possible to be fooled with the function of the hammer/trigger even without it.

They do test fire their uppers, btw.
