The nightmare has come true: A candidate has won the popular vote but
lost the White House. Even worse, it looks like election fraud and error in
Florida is responsible. There are two possibile solutions:

First, It is important to understand that the constitution DOES NOT require
the electoral college to vote state-by-state using a "winner take all" system.
It is perfectly constitutional for the electors to represent the popular vote.
Bush should step down and ask electors to cast their vote for Gore. If the guy
who got the most votes doesn't win, then IT ISN'T DEMOCRACY!

Of course we can't count on Bush to do that, therefore a revote should be
held in Palm Beach County, where over 19,000 Gore voters' ballots were
thrown away. Bush's lead in Florida is less than 2,000 votes.

We The People need to show the media and the parties that this will not stand. Below is a list of
protest sites for this Saturday; this list is growing so check back if your city isn't here.

Make signs, show up, bring friends, call your local newspapers and TV stations, and demand ONE
PERSON, ONE VOTE!

When Slobodan
Milosevic clung to
power after a narrow
election defeat,
thousands of
protesters rallied in
every Yugoslav city,
forcing him to give
up. Wouldn't it be
ironic if democracy
was today stronger
in Serbia than in the
USA?

This Web site is simply a listing of protest sites. It is just an effort to facilitate spontaneous, decentralized protests in the
event of a popular vote/electoral college split.

I wonder how long it would take them to notice that it was never supposed to be a democracy to start with?

You must remember,we don't have a Democracy-we have a Constitutional Republic.

The Electoral College was created to allow the smaller, more sparsely populated states to have an equal voice with the large, populous states.

some one should let Hillary know:
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Senator-elect Hillary Rodham Clinton began a victory tour of upstate New York Friday by calling for elimination of the Electoral College.

At an airport news conference, the first lady said she was ready to co-sponsor legislation introduced seven years ago by New York Rep. Michael McNulty, D-Green Island, for a constitutional amendment
that would provide for the direct election of the president.

At the moment, Americans are waiting to see who wins Florida's 25 electoral votes and thus becomes the next president. Vice President Al Gore leads Republican George W. Bush in the popular vote
nationwide.

''We are a very different country than we were 200 years ago,'' Clinton said as McNulty stood at her side. ''I believe strongly that in a democracy, we should respect the will of the people and to me, that
means it's time to do away with the Electoral College and move to the popular election of our president.''

The first lady also said that because of the closeness of this year's presidential election, ''I hope no one is ever in doubt again about whether their vote counts.''

As she started her tour across upstate New York, Clinton said she had talked with Republican Gov. George E. Pataki on Thursday about how they could work together to help the state. She called it ''a very
cordial conversation'' and said she and Pataki hope to get together soon.

Pataki was a major supporter of U.S. Rep. Rick Lazio, the Republican congressman from Long Island who Clinton easily beat on Tuesday to win the New York Senate seat.

''I'm back here first and foremost to say thank you,'' Clinton told a crowd of about 100 people at the Albany International Airport, the first of her six stops across upstate New York. She planned airport
appearances in Syracuse, Watertown, Rochester, Buffalo and Ithaca.

Clinton ran unusually well in traditionally more conservative upstate New York, where she captured 47 percent of the vote to Lazio's 50 percent.

JM is right.

And if Hillarious goes and demands the removal of the Electoral process, then it's always going to be the big cities that call the shots. And we all know which side they lean toward, don't we?

And to remove the Electoral Collece, doesn't that require a Constitutional Convention?
And gee, while they're there, why not get rid of the embarrasing Second Amendment.
It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, like just before I puke.

I encourage everyone to take a look at the discussion forum associated with the Counter Coup site. It is an eye-opener.

ALERT - MOBILIZATION for Saturdays, November 11 and 18. 1 PM. Please forward

to EVERYONE you know IMMEDIATELY

---------------------------------------------

I've thought about this and thought about this and thought about this.....

The next two Saturdays there are scheduled to be leftist protests, which I

designed to be part of an overall media strategy to get Al Gore

illegitimately installed as the 43rd President of the United States.

Normally, I don't like to go to rallies. I don't like showings. I don't

really like these goofs who have nothing better to do than go to rallies.

I'd rather be working.

However, it has become clear to me that these rallies are very different.

These rallies are designed to directly undermine a legitimate election for

President of the United States, and to undermine and eliminate the very

republic itself. They are seeking to influence the electors of the Electoral

College to dishonor their vow to do their duty as the citizens elected them

to.

And as such, I believe they need to be met man per man, sign per sign, flag

per flag.

I believe we may well have two choices. We can meet these liberal tools

right here, right now, peacefully, and show the whole world, which may be

watching, that we defend the duly elected President-elect of the United

States and the United States Constitution. Or we can allow these people to

work their conspiracy to overturn an election, undermine the Constitution,

install an illegitimate President whose federal agents we will have to fight

violence against violence. Perhaps, by meeting these individuals at these

rallies, we can possibily help avert a civil war.

Therefore, I am urging all people to read this letter, to show up at these

rallies for a counter-demonstration against the "Counter Coup", as this

entity is calling itself. I am additionally forwarding this list to the

press, in the event they have not yet seen it. Their web site is
http://geocities.com/countercoup/.

A caveat I issue here. I won't want any of you to engage in violence against

these people. However, I have been informed that certain demonstrations have

riots planned in them. If this is the case, and a rally turns violent,

retreat, walk away and disperse. This is not the place to engage the enemies

of freedom in battle. We may find ourselves with ample necessity to do that

later on.

Even if you don't personally support George W. Bush or his government, I am

still of the opinion that these leftist tools need to be met anyway.

Think about that! Wow! What if the Socialists begin to get violent and all that? Oh man! This makes me want Bush to win even more. Can you imagine if Gore doesn't concede and Bush walks in? So many liberal/socialist protests would break out, it would be amazing. What a time to be alive. I missed out on the 60's protests, but I'd love to see these. They would actually be protesting against the constitution and rule of law. Interesting.

MP
